The most cozy throw in cream with the Gallego Desportes Gathered Dress, Yaltch Anniversary Hat and a pile of baskets <3 It's hard to believe it's almost mid-October, Fall is really setting in and our minds go to cozy environments and settings. We hope you are all enjoying the season!
We have added some fun new things to our desk section including lip and eye card sets by Minnieolga, four color pens made in Italy, notebooks with illustrations by artist Miroco Machiko, and new pencil cases with gold birds. All wonderful, useful things that also make great gifts :)
Polkadot wool shawls or throws <3 They are so fun! Skylar wears one above with the Apuntob gathered dress and corduroy trousers - both in navy blue. The shawls are now available in our wardrobe section, along with the other pieces shown above.
A few favorite pieces that are so versatile, easy and elegant. The cardigan is one of our most cherished pieces at the shop. It has a dense knit with a beautiful texture. It has a wonderful weight - almost feeling like a light coat. It is very warm and substantial. We love it worn a bit big. Skylar above typically wears a small, but she has on the medium in these photos. The small works well also, but we love it with a bit more room. It is such a classic piece that works so well with many different things. We love it with jeans, skirts, and as we show above, with the Apuntob corduroy trousers. These trousers have such a flattering shape and they are so comfortable. We love them in this navy blue fine wale corduroy. Skylar also has on our favorite classic piece - the Pip Squeak Chapeau long boy shirt in batiste. What is so wonderful about these shirts in this fabric is that they are so comfortable for layering. It doesn't feel bulky when worn with sweaters and coats. (A note on these shirts... Sveta, the designer of Pip Squeak, is making more for us - if we don't have your size available, it should be coming soon). Skylar also has on the classic Repetto jazz shoes in black patent and the straw hat from Yaltch :)
We are in love with these new throws made of handspun and handwoven wool. The colors are incredible - varying from cream to dark brown. These have a cozy, felted feel that comes from a light washing. They are a wonderful layer of warmth - they can be worn as a shawl or used as a throw. They really feel like Fall to us!
We hope you are all enjoying the new season so far! We have been knee deep in unpacking holiday orders - we had these orders shipped extra early to us because of production and shipping issues that might have occurred otherwise. We are preparing for you - and we are so excited about all the fun decorations we will have to share (November :))! We have also been in the midst of ordering for Spring. This is a specific challenge not having the dedicated time we normally have on a buying trip for this sole purpose. But we adapt, and we are also thrilled with what we have planned for this season so far :) What a wild ride we all have been on, but within it all, we try to keep our nose to the ground and continue to do the work we love so much. We want to thank you all again for all your support throughout everything. Our gratitude for being able to continue what we do is bigger than can be expressed through words. The thread that runs through small and slow production and business is a special one - along it are the most beautiful minds and hands creating special pieces, then passing through and to those who truly love it. The imagination that creates our tangible world is so important <3
