This adventure begins in 1950 when Gisèle Freund moved to Mexico and met Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. She was invited into their home, where for two years, she immersed herself in their private lives and photographed them along the way. Many of these photographs have never been published before, along with Gisèle's commentary on the artist. Also included is text by art historian Lorraine Audric and biographer Gérard de Cortanze.
