This fabric is a Japanese typewriter cotton - the technique of which to make is tightly and finely weaving the fibers. It can be different weights, but the commonality is the process by which it is made. This typewriter cotton is of a more substantial weight than others we use for our lighter pieces. It has a sturdy feel and it holds its shape nicely. This is our Ginny Dress, and as mentioned before, we also made our pointed collar shirt and pleated pants with the same cotton. We are very happy to be getting in so many beautiful pieces for the season... and the addition of this plaid definitely sets the tone for Fall!
