Raglan Dresses, Black Watch Plaid

November 10, 2017 | 0 Comments

We love plaid and always have a hard time finding great plaid pieces for our shop. We found this beautiful black watch fabric- 100% japanese cotton, and thought to make a plaid version of our raglan dress. We would wear this with patent lather jazz shoes, brown boots... there are so many possibilities. We also have this dress available in a solid navy blue japanese cotton. These pieces take shape on the body and are so easy to throw on ... they can be dressed up or down :)

The sweetest angel surprise balls.... unwrap the crepe paper and treasures come out one by one. These make the most wonderful treats for stockings. We are in the final midst of preparing all our holiday goodies... one week from today, we will have it all available (in store... and we'll keep our blog updated with pictures).

New colors in boiled wool shawls and wool blankets... baby blue, sand, brown... and there's a baby pink too! It's amazing what the boiled wool does to color- it makes for such a rich depth.

Monday Gift Ideas- this is for those who love nature, animals and gardening.

1- Bonnie has just potted up a bunch of new cacti and succulents. These make wonderful gifts, and in particular, we love to give these as hostess gifts. It's wonderful to give a living thing, and something the receiver can enjoy for a long time to come.

2- Botanical John Derian plates. These two are a couple of our favorites from our recent shipment. They are cheerful and bright... they certainly made us smile when we unpacked them!

3- Cement birds. We love these indoors or out- there are three different birds that look great all together and also on their own.

4- A little basket of goodies. A cement bird, "A Charm of Goldfinches", and an olive oil soap from France.

5- Short Works from the American Roots series. The different titles from this series have been personally selected by the publisher - all of which have had an impact on his life. They are all short works by famous authors- about animals, camping, the outdoors.

6- A selection of wonderful books and birding flashcards from the gardening section of our shop. Books make wonderful gifts!

7- Watering can. We think it's hard to find a great watering can... and this one is just that! A great gift for a gardener.

8- Glass cloches. For starting seeds and also for displaying special things. We love to put things like found nests or special twigs with pretty leaves inside for table decorations.
